Hi there, I’m Sherry Sale, and if you’ve ever wandered into a kitchen just to smell something sizzling or found joy in watching butter melt into a hot pan, then we already have something in common. I’m 43 years old and currently living in Asheville, North Carolina, a place that feels like the perfect mix of mountain air and eclectic food culture.

I was born in Chicago and raised in a household where dinner was sacred, and the kitchen was where stories were shared. My mother was the first person to teach me how to hold a knife properly, and my grandfather who never measured a single ingredient in his life taught me how to trust my instincts. I didn’t go to culinary school right away. In fact, I studied environmental science, and for a while, I thought I’d work in conservation. But food kept calling me back. Eventually, I enrolled in a local culinary program while working the line at a bustling bistro downtown. I haven’t looked back since.

Over the past twenty years, I’ve cooked in everything from greasy spoons to fine dining establishments. I’ve burnt more things than I care to admit, and I’ve also created dishes that made people close their eyes and smile with the first bite. I believe cooking is a dialogue not just between chef and ingredients, but between the cook and whoever’s lucky enough to be at the table. My style is rooted in classic American comfort food, with a strong love for Southern traditions, global spices, and a splash of something unexpected.

These days, I’m all about sharing what I’ve learned. Whether you’re a beginner nervously chopping your first onion, a home cook looking to level up your potluck game, or a seasoned chef hunting for inspiration, I want this space to feel like pulling up a stool in my kitchen. I believe mistakes are part of the recipe, and every burnt toast or over-salted soup has taught me something worth knowing.

Why I Created the “Just a Little Bite Recipe” ?

I created Just a Little Bite Recipe as more than just a recipe website it’s a Space. A place for anyone who loves food, whether you’re a beginner in the kitchen or a seasoned home cook.

Life gets busy, and cooking can sometimes feel overwhelming. I wanted to build a space where real people can find real recipes the kind that nourish your body and your soul, without all the fuss. Simple, flavorful, comforting dishes that bring families together, spark memories, and introduce you to flavors from all over the world.

Most of all, I wanted to create a welcoming kitchen table online, where we can share recipes, stories, tips, and that deep, shared love of food. Just a Little Bite is about making cooking joyful again and celebrating one delicious bite at a time. I wanted a space that reflects my story, my passion, and the belief that good food doesn’t have to be complicated. I wanted to show that even just a little bite can bring a whole lot of comfort.
